Painting flowers has been very popular for a long time and it's easy to understand why! the thousands of varieties of beautiful flowers in a myriad of fabulous colours and shapes are inspiring for any artist.
Floral paintings are timeless and cross all national boundaries. Top publishers continue to find that flower paintings are successful in nearly all markets and in nearly all price ranges. Not only do flower paintings cross all demographic groups, but flower paintings appeal to people in all age groups as well.

This was more a challenge for me than most paintings. I bought the flowers ( yeah not that lucky) photographed them and then painted them while they wilted around my easel. :-)
