This month we go the Southern Hempisphere to find Maren Bock-Mueller
Maren has spent most of her life
living in Europe and has always loved painting.
Due to her demanding career, Maren has travelled the world
extensively over the last 25 years. However her travel gave her
the opportunity to see great art created by both famous and
emerging artists, along with the art of many other
cultures.
Her life took a turn when she immigrated to New Zealand in 2007.
She exchanged her busy hectic life for a more relaxing and laid
back life in N.Z. Now she can completely indulge her passion for
art and loves painting in her studio at home.
Maren is particularly inspired by the human body. Her intension
is to express femininity and masculinity within her work. She
loves painting nudes and figuratively. To her the human body is
sensual, fun, attractive and sexy - with all perfections and
imperfections. She experiments with all kinds of mediums to
capture her impressions and express them.
