Follow us around the Easel

Published by: easel team on 29th Aug 2010 | View all blogs by easel team
Is it Sunday today? Well, my computer says it is!
Is it so different from any other day?

Since I have been living as an artist, Sundays have ceased to mean anything different to me, apart from the fact that our food supply shop is closed.
And since I joined the Easelspace Team, about 2 months ago, well, the food supply problem has taken care of itself, as I hardly have any time left to eat!

But honestly: I love my life as an artist, and I love to work for Easelspace.  Always trying to better the place, to find new ideas to keep it attractive for the artists and the visitors (and for us too of course!), to solve the occuring problems, to help our members to reach their goals, this all keeps our brains wonderfully active for about 48 hours out of 24!

Now we enjoy following you, through your paintings and other activities here. We thought you might be interested in following us too. This is why we have decided to regularly let you know, by virtue of this blog, how things stand, what we do, what we feel, what we want,  what we don't want, what we hope, simple human stuff like that.

It would be great to hear your feedback sometimes, we are all human and we all need to know how we stand in this world! :-)

That's all for now, have a lovely (Sun)day!

Easel-ly yours

Miki

Sunday what can i say i have to agree with you its just like any other day with the exception that my home turn's into a Restaurant, when my two children and their partners come around for dinner.

Thanks so much for this lovely comment, Lucia.
There was a time in my life when I had what people still call "a real job" (although i was certainly working much less than nowadays, but well, many people don;t understand that being an artist is a job too, especially since we have internet....), and I used to hate the Sundays, simply because they were so close to the working Monday... each Sunday evening I had the feeling to "die" a little bit.. was awful, and I ma glad this is PAST.

If it is YOU the cook in the family, then I guess you have not much rest Sundays mornings... cooking for many people is a tough job, i think... I am glad I can't cook at all, so nobody is tempted to use our home as a restaurant!

LOL , nobody tempted to use mine as resurant either ! yes easel can be time consuming, lot of "behind the scene" stuff goes on as well, i remember getting our 100th member..that was a big deal at the time considering we had too practically beg people to join !! now they just appear as if by magic ! and to think we are now allmost 300. I know Adrian has spent 12 hour a day on here as well as his day job ! its nice to get a thank you , now and again.

You and Adrian did a great job, Jean. I know how difficult it is to get people to join a new place. I had the luck to arrive when you had already put most of the things in place...
We should have a big party for our 1000th member!

I have noticed, Lucia, here and everywhere in the net and also in "real life:. people have their cycles, like life itself. They come and go again and come back, just like the seasons... many things cross our way everyday, things which force or tempt us to go in other directions, but often, after we have gone around the world on more or less direct ways, we find ourselves at the beginning again... personally i am glad that not everybody comes around the Easel at the same time! But good too that not eevrybody is wandering around the world, and to have our "Regulars" here, like you, Lucia!

Jean: oh yes, big Cuba Libre a gogo party in Spain by our 1000th member! :-)
