Creavtive Web Biz Kit
By Adrian
I get asked a lot of questions about setting
up a wordpress site and found this website that can really
answer them all.
Get the professional web site you need to launch your business into the Internet!
Ready to rock?
You are an artist, crafter, photographer, designer, musician, cook, clown or otherwise creative entrepreneur and would love to finally get a professional site with your own domain name.
That´s great! A web site is a wonderful tool to help you share your talents and gifts with the world! You are more than ready to start building a biz around your talents and gifts. You want to make a living while doing what you love, what you care for and what is important to you.
Congrats to that! The world needs your dedication, your input and your love. We want to hear your voice, see your art, help with your cause!.So what’s the hold up?
It’s not that you don’t want to launch a site….
You know you need one to get your creative work out because it will help you find the people that are really interested in what you do and because it will help you become location independent, so you can travel the world or just work from home in your pajamas.
The problem is that you simply don’t know how to go about it. All that tech stuff is just way over your head and and you wouldn’t even know what to begin with. It seems the learning curve is so steep, it will take you weeks or even months to learn all the basics.
You could of course hire a web designer and have him make a
website for you, but you
simply don’t have the money to do that. Plus, you really
want to be in control of your own site and not
be dependent on someone for simply inserting an image or adding a
line of text.
.
Here is what I can help you with:
- Instructions on how to get an account with a web host (or how to rent online property to build your site on). The hosting company I recommend is officially recommended by the WordPress team and costs 7$ a month, free domain name included, payable one year in advance. This money goes to the web host for their services, not to me (this is also true if you use a discount code).
- Installation of the WordPress software on your new web host account (If you already have hosting, I will charge 44 Euros extra because I won’t get the hosting affiliate commission that subsidizes the normal price( same goes for discount codes).
-
Installation of 10
themes (designs/templates), all created with artists,
designers, and other creative entrepreneurs with highly visual
content in mind.
-
Installation of 5
plugins (add-ons/apps) which will help you expand the
functionality of your site to attract visitors through Google,
present your images in a nice way, get statistics on your
visitors. integrate ‘share and ‘like’ buttons,
etc.
- A 3 week ecourse to teach you the basics of WordPress , how to integrate it with Twitter and Facebook and how to sell your creations or creative services directly from your website.
.
P.S. Remember, the Creative Web Biz Kit includes a WordPress website set-up plus an e-course that will enable you to design it and make changes to the site any time you’d like, in any way you’d like and to then build it into the foundation of your creative online biz. If you’re not the independent type who likes to be in control of their own biz, the Kit might not be for you!
If you are passionate about what you do and are willing to make it happen no matter what, this might just be the start to earning a living with doing what you love!

By ~Crispin Delgado~Custom Orders – Painting by Personal Guidelines
By Laura BarbosaThere is nothing more confining then having someone who is not an Artist tell you how to paint. For me, this is a love/hate relationship because I get awesome clients most of the time and bad clients every so often.
In dealing with a person who insists that they know art better than the artist (Bad Client) can be very challenging. This is where you MUST separate yourself from the soul of painting and become a worker to whomever has hired you. You will know whether the client you have acquired for your custom order will be hard to deal with or a pleasure right from the start. As Artists, we can feel what kind of experience is to come! People that do not have a sense for true art usually order cheap work. This is the first sign of trouble. The second sign is a list of letters and demands telling the artist how EXACTLY they need to paint their artwork. As a professional, you must remain very PATIENT and COMPOSED in order to pull this kind of work out of the hat, so to speak. If you really need the money like most of the starving artist’s who survive solely on painting for profit do, you must adhere to your client’s guidelines and this can be daunting. Especially when you know the art will look horrible the way they want you to paint it.
My recent decision to stop all custom commissions that delegate my talent in unfavorable directions is a good one. It is a good choice for the mind and the soul to NOT take orders that disintegrate your artwork by any means.
A good client is one that orders with great enthusiasm and confidence that the Artists will finish the piece on their own and use their talent to achieve what they have ordered without a list of demands.
My advice for people who are ordering custom artwork: You must first LOVE the Artist’s style of painting before ordering anything. The second thing is that you must have 100% confidence in the chosen Artist’s talent. The 3rd and most important thing is not to demand Your Own Style and try to change your artist in any way. You must rejoice in your Artist and LOVE their art full heartedly, if you don’t, than any machine can handle your task efficiently and to your exact specifications.
If you are an ARTIST and wish to share your story, please leave a comment! Thank you
Selling Art Through Social Media
By Laura Barbosa"Being connected to social media is one of the keys to my art success. I believe it is essential for any artist to use it, especially in today's art world. "If you are an artist who is starting out for the first time, you must establish connections with art collectors, museums, galleries, agents, etc.
Although it took me many years to achieve international recognition, I believe portals to art worlds involving facebook, friendfeed, twitter, linkedin, and flickr helped to introduce my artwork to thousands of viewers over time. This is especially true for self taught artists, like myself, who have little money for advertising. Your most important tool is social media.
Among my success stories are two of my favorite places to
acquire new clients and viewers: Facebook & Twitter.
My faithful admirers also lend support and comments, and I also
use my fan page to list special coupons, events, art news and
more.

Laura’s
Story…
My complete
adoration and love for animals developed from my relationship
that I had with our family dog. I found enjoyment in his facial
expressions and funny antics. I believe these experiences molded
me in the direction of animals and a true love for painting them.
My art grew more and more with each passing day. In high school
my favorite pastime was doodling and eventually I doodled my way
into an art class. I started a home business when I was 16
which was all about capturing people’s favorite photos onto
sweatshirts and sold them at a fair price to many students and
their family members. I was making a decent living at a young age
with nothing more than a few bottles of fabric paint an airbrush
and a pack of generic sweatshirts. As time went on, I started
painting wall murals and experimenting with different media.
After accomplishing more pieces, I grew as an artist. The traits
and techniques I developed as a child actually create the anchor
that my creativity rests upon today. It seems that each year I
became more free with my ideas and techniques.
Laura’s Creative Process…
My emotions and thoughts predetermine what is going to develop on
the canvas. I work from the subconscious mind and many times I
will wake up with an idea in the morning. There are so many ideas
in my head that I need to carry a sketchbook with me to jot down
the thoughts coming from my head. I have been known to be in the
middle of a conversation and have to excuse myself to sketch an
idea in my book before I lose it. This is the beginning of my
creative process and from this point I cannot wait to get to my
studio to start painting. I work mainly with acrylics and ink. I
like to use them together to achieve the effect I want. For my
abstracts I prefer thick acrylic paint, texture and using the
palette knife to mix and push the paint around the canvas. I
don’t like using brushes and have come to love the sponge and the
use of my finger for blending but for my animal portraits,
brushes are needed for detailing and creating fur. On occasion, I
will dip my whole hand in paint and start creating to see what I
come up with. If the subject matter is very specific then it must
be planned out. For example, my animal portraits are carefully
calculated before I begin.
