  Started 25 years ago with a £1,000 loan, the foundry, now the biggest in Britain, employs 186 people and is the central turbine of a new industry in the town – art. Once famous for manufacturing scarlet jackets for soldiers in the Civil War and, more recently, tennis balls, Stroud now harbours around 180 artists’ studios, including two of Damien Hirst’s “factories”. Not for the Kingdon Koenigs, however, the houses in Long Island or the boats and smart London pads that their artists enjoy. They live in a barn in the slightly dull village of Stonehouse. “But we have fun,” they say. “We get invited to all the big parties.” Happiness, for them, however, is a day spent in 2,000 degrees, blasting metal. “We work at the foundry every day, but it’s not the kind of job you can safely do with a hangover.” Damien-Hirsts-dream-factory-of-british-art

  Hi Adrian, I thank you for your charming comment on autumn leaves a lot, it encourages me many to have had your visit on my painting and I see that you loved it. You know you can redo it because this one is my first one that I made and that I had missed, I worked again it with some acrylic and it is the result which I had. Good day to you my friend.
