Hi Adrian, I thank you for your charming comment which you made me on my drawing two birds. I apologize for not having answered at once, because I come back from leave and as before the holidays I had a lot of work in my business and the good I was not able to return you my thanks before today. I hope that you had beautiful holidays and I take advantage of it to wish you Wonderful Happy New Year 2011, that all your wishes come true during this year which has just begun. It also pleases me to have to accept your invitation to be your friend here on the site. Indeed, I say to you in the next conversation on our paintings my dear friend. Love Lucie bye

    Hello Adrian,
Thanks for your mail. However i am already one of your many friends. I will make a new year resolution to visit this site more often. It is important to keep in touch with other artists - so many of us work alone in our own little space.

Hi Adrian, thank you very much for your charming comment on my parakeets. It began me two days to make this work and I find that it is a good exercise for the hand and the eye. I wish you a wonderful week my friend. That your day today is filled with enjoyment. Your friend Lucie bye

    Adrian-
I have been trying to put in a painting in the competition. I had put in what I thought was the miniature with the snow scene. What shows up is a building!! How do you take off the last two images? Also I could not put in the one of the snow scene as it never showed up. I am learning but am lost in here.

Did national service in RAF and used the rail alot going to and fro from home. Steam in those days. As I told Miki funny that you both had relations connected with 'steam'. Going on a steam holiday in Wales next year. Terrific engines at the Royal Cornwall and couldn't resist a painting

Started 25 years ago with a £1,000 loan, the foundry, now the biggest in Britain, employs 186 people and is the central turbine of a new industry in the town – art. Once famous for manufacturing scarlet jackets for soldiers in the Civil War and, more recently, tennis balls, Stroud now harbours around 180 artists’ studios, including two of Damien Hirst’s “factories”. Not for the Kingdon Koenigs, however, the houses in Long Island or the boats and smart London pads that their artists enjoy. They live in a barn in the slightly dull village of Stonehouse. “But we have fun,” they say. “We get invited to all the big parties.” Happiness, for them, however, is a day spent in 2,000 degrees, blasting metal. “We work at the foundry every day, but it’s not the kind of job you can safely do with a hangover.” Damien-Hirsts-dream-factory-of-british-art
