About
I studied fine art at the Medway College of Art in Rochester from 1964-1968. I currently work from my studio in Chatham, Kent, UK.
I began as a portrait painter then went on to gather life experience through further study and various careers, returning to painting a few years ago with a few bruises. I enjoy the sensuality of paint and I enjoy life and people.
My web address is http://www.peterreedsartist.com

by Peter Reeds 1 year agoSorry all for being a bit quiet recently. I have been very busy setting up my new studio, with several commissions and one to one sessions in my studio which have been very successful and enjoyable. Hope to get back soon. Good luck to you all and enjoy your art.

by Peter Reeds 2 years agoAnneline, I use Golden heavy acrylics they are great you can do anything with them. You can use them as a really thick impasto or as thin as water colours.

by Anneline Nyvold 2 years agoThanks Peter. Good advice :-)
I paint because it makes me feel good. It lifts my spirit and takes my pain away. I paint for myself and I`l keep on as long as it makes me feel good :-)
Happy painting, Peter! Thanks for sharing your work! :-) -
by Peter Reeds 2 years agoJean, I know it's always difficult to know when to stop. What I do is look at my work in a mirror, it gives you a totally clear view of your work and helps you to see whether it is working or not and what you need to change. Try it.

by Peter Reeds 2 years agoAnneline,
It is obvious that you can do what ever you set your mind to. You look for challenges and that is courageous. I still do that and still enjoy it. I also paint in different ways at different times, just look at some of my paintings. Don't try too hard to find a style, it is not important. If there is a particular direction to go in you will find it naturally. Good luck and have fun.
