Ok, before you all look at this and ask, "what is it supposed to
be", which I can hear everyone say, this is a painting that I did a
few years back. The idea of it was that I was getting increasingly
annoyed with white people, sorry about that (I am white, sort of).
They treat Mother Earth so badly. This painting has words that go
with it, as follows:-
The Tide is Turning
A time of social re-evaluation
The tempest is causing the white mans house to topple into the
sea,
whereas all the indigenous dwellings are withstanding the
strangeness of the turning tide.
The sun/moon looks on smiling.
Amen
Ooo...Linda, you are on very dangerous ground with this train of
thought! If the 'colours' were reversed there would be cries of
"racism!" I think it's too simplistic to just "blame the white
folks" I do applaud your concern regarding the planet though, I
even wrote this song (below) about it myself, but it's not
exclusively white people's fault! Just take a look at all the
homey's in the hood with their gas guzzling low riders! We're all
as bad as each other, united at least, in our disrespect of our
planet! :-)

Last Man Standing
Gaia's pain is clear
She's weary of the passing years
Why do we rape the land
All in the name of man?
I do not thank you for
This bloody harvest bred by war
The lifeblood of our world
Now on the hands of every boy and girl
How did we really go so wrong?
This precious resource, will only last so long
Why don't you open up your eyes?
Don't leave it til the last man standing
If I'm not around don't hit the ground
Stand up and be counted
Why aren't you fighting for your rights?
Even when the world's against you
Believe in yourself, fight to the bell
And don't ever let them win
Until your the last man standing
Take a step back down
Take the time to look around
Make it clear to those
With answers in their hands
Dont let them turn away
Oblivious to judgement day
The pennies on their eyes
Must be removed if we want brighter skies
How did we make all these mistakes?
We gotta watch this baby
Or else the bough will break
