Collaboration between writers and painters is largely a twentieth century phenomenon.
Genuine collaboration as opposed to illustration is rare because it so so hard to strike a balance between two such seeming inimical arts.

With the advent of the internet bringing artists from different media together this group has the intention of allowing artists to post their images and if anyone would like to contribute in the form of a poem, short story or music, well now they can !

A poem painting done as a collaboration has great appeal. Like opera, ballet or the animated film it can provide the unique pleasure created by the interaction of seemingly unrelated media.
