About
Beginners artist from Norway. I`m 27 years old and started painting again the 8th of july 2009, after a break of 10 years! That day I picked up an airbrush for the first time. 6 months later I took out the paintbrushes as well and started pushing paint around again. And I realize how much I`ve been missing it. It`s like a part of me was missing, and now I`ve got it back. :-) I`ve got an education as a makeupartist, special effects makeupartist, colour and style consultant, naildesigner and pyrotechnician. Currently I`m working as an ingenieur within fire and safety.
I enjoy painting both non figurative, abstracts and realistic. My favorite medium is acrylic. I paint in my home studio.
I use both airbrush and paintbrushes in my paintings, and my favorite is the shaving brush. I like to use stuff I find around the house as well, like kitchen utensils, tools and even stamps.
I am dreaming of making a living doing art. I am attending Nydalen Art school in August 2010. I`ve sold almost every painting I`ve painted, and I really appreciate it when people like my art!

by Martin Girolami 2 years agoI'm still laughing at the comment on my gull.......Thanks!
Yes I've got 5 bikes, I seem to be hoarding them, all matt black all loud and I'm building a fairly radical Harley chop at the moment (when I get time and motivation)......google "MCFARO" go to their site, you can click a uk flag to understand it and check out the rally pics if you like bikes, I've been going since 93, it's the biggest rally in Europe and I live 8 klms away....how lucky is that? ....Thanks again and stay safe on the bike.....x -

by Peter Reeds 2 years agoHi Anneline, I love your work, It is so diverse and I like the fact that you use all kinds of tools that is what I do. The most important thing is that you enjoy painting. Then people are more likely to like it. I only paint what I want to paint and I believe that is the honest and best way to go.
I just about make a living painting but my quality of life is almost perfect. You don't become an artist to get rich. There are easier ways to do that. Enjoy your painting. Peter -
by Adrian 2 years agoAnneline, great profile, I must say I'm drawn to your comment at the end of the piece "dreaming of making a living doing art. But in Norway that is really hard". I think it is hard to achieve anywhere, not just Norway.
That is why we are trying to pull as many artists together and make a community of social interaction, whether they are a beginner, amateur or professional.
A community where you can not only display your work, but discuss ideas, marketing techniques and learn from others past mistakes. Hopefully the site will grown in numbers and the more numbers will allow for more confidence in adding more features and tweaking the ones we have. With the prospect of Facebook charging their users this year, now is the time to be building a network of friends through easelspace.com
